Catherine Knott Psychology uses evidence-based assessment and interventions to support adolescents aged 16+ and adults through periods of overwhelm, uncertainty, and distress. When life feels heavy, therapy can help uncover underlying patterns, strengthen coping, and restore clarity, perspective, and confidence.

With particular interest in assessment-informed therapy, Catherine works with clients where anxiety, neurodivergence, trauma, role transition, and emotional overload may overlap, helping clarify underlying drivers and guide effective treatment pathways.

Clinical Interests

Referrals are welcome for individuals experiencing:

• Anxiety disorders including social anxiety

Neurodivergence including ADHD and autism

• Trauma and Complex PTSD

Depression and mood concerns

• Stress and burnout

• Life transitions and adjustment

• Relationship and parenting difficulties

• Women’s mental health during perimenopause and menopause transitions

Client Presentations?

Overlapping symptoms of trauma, ADHD, autism, anxiety, and burnout can alter treatment direction when underlying drivers may benefit from clarification.
Women may present later when masking, chronic self-doubt, and long-standing anxiety obscure neurodevelopmental patterns.
when previous treatment has only partially helped, reassessment of formulation may be clinically useful.

Assessment Services

Use of cognitive Assessment tools may include Weschler Adult Intelligence Scale, Personality Assessment Inventory, ADHD assessment (CAARS-2) and specific autism screening tools, and structured clinical interview.

Referrals are also welcome for psychological assessment and diagnostic clarification, including assessments related to attention, cognitive functioning, or neurodivergence.

Assessment typically involves:

• A clinical interview

• Psychometric testing

• Review of relevant background history

• A written report

• A feedback session

Assessment services are privately billed and are generally not covered by Medicare rebates.
